Kelsey Gothard
Kelsey, a creative Nashville native, is now planting new roots in Jackson, TN, alongside her family. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies, with a minor in Theater, from Union University.
Currently, Kelsey serves as the Fine Arts Director at Trinity Christian Academy. Her journey is diverse, encompassing extensive personal and professional experiences within the special needs community, hospital settings, Next Generation Ministry, and the performing arts.
Kelsey is committed to advocating for inclusion in the church. She has collaborated with Children's Worship University and the KidzMatter conference to enhance awareness about making church more accessible for families affected by disabilities. Through her efforts, she aims to create an active platform for individuals with special needs to play vital roles within the church community.
Driven by her passion, Kelsey focuses on merging her experiences to develop unforgettable programming opportunities for individuals with special needs, while also establishing a strong support network for their families.
Kelsey was introduced to a world of labels and limitations at just four years old when her sister, Courtney, was born with a rare chromosomal abnormality called DiGeorge Syndrome. While many saw Courtney's limitations, Kelsey recognized her strength, beauty, and unique abilities. This inspired Kelsey to create Courtney’s Corner, a project that brings her vision to life on stage. Kelsey is excited to see this dream flourish and touch the hearts of many.
